What is the "real" meaning of it then?

That was my question and why I came here. I know this symbol has some deeper meaning before Nazi regime but I have never really gotten it's true history and why it was so popular.

Some say it's a sun symbol. Best explanation I found is the big dippers position around the north star throughout the year. I like to think there's more to it

I've seen East Indians decorating their hotel entrance with such a symbol. I didn't bother asking about it because I figure it's an ancient Hindu religious thing or something.

To me, the swastika looks like an ancient 2D representation of a spiral - clockwise or counterclockwise. Perhaps having to do with either a physical event (e.g., spirals in the sky like happened over Scandinavia some years ago), or communication to and from the heavens.

So was Hitler a dis-info pawn so people see that symbol as evil now?

My thoughts exactly

So... Germany first invaded Austria and it was all happy and good. There was German people living on the border of Poland on the Polish side... these people had lived there long before modern Poland borders were drawn. The poles were hating on those Germans. And that was the next country that got invaded says our history books.

But why??? If I have a land dispute with my neighbour... I would say hey. Can I buy it? Name your price let's work out a deal. Surely hitler wasn't ignorant to the fact that if he invaded another country that there wouldn't be other consequences. It's as if war was the goal. And the only people that lost that war were European men.
