Remember, always, ALWAYS Consider the Source!

Doing so often explains as much about why that information is being assembled and made it to you, as the information itself

Of course consider the source. Your half-wit leader @AOU seems to advocate only considering the source, which is quite different to your history teacher's advice. To ignore all content from sources whose ideology differs from yours is moronic.

If you are capable of thinking, you should should read about an issue via a variety of sources.

It is a fallacy that the truth of a matter is found at the center of all viewpoints.

Of course it's not always found at the center, but it can be. The point is, you would be very stupid not to consider arguments in opposition to your previously held positions - they are the most important arguments to consider.
