Awaiting you at the bottom of the glass is the future race of Ubermensch.

Vanity.

We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children. Heil Odin!

If you don't want your children to be better than you... If you call this vanity... Then go back to Israel.

I will that those who come after me are better and more holy in all ways than I, but I will this as a means, not an end, which seems to be the principal difference between you and I.

There is an intelligence, complexity, and organization that defies the explanation provided by scientists of a completely random/unguided creation. One conclusion is "God", but I have to settle for agnostic at the moment. I haven't seen any evidence that doesn't require a leap of faith.

The "piece of evidence" that compels one to make that leap is different for everyone. May you be blessed to encounter that compelling evidence soon.

Thanks :) If there is truth to it, I pray I find that evidence before it's too late.

One thing that had always really stood out to me as a huge literal sign from God is the fact that the sun and moon are exactly the right sizes and distances from earth to create total eclipses. This is a coincidence that, unlike the many others, has absolutely no bearing on whether life would have supposedly developed or not. It does however create an unimaginable show in the sky that, when I got to see it, left me with no doubt that it was the work of an almighty father.

That is a beautiful quote. Breaking Bad made him immortalized

It's funny because he thinks there is a glass.

I think Heisenberg actually adapted and stole this quote from Francis Bacon.

In the 1500's he said:

"a little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion."

I hadn't heard that quote before, thanks.

Yeah, I grew up Christian, then went through an agnostic atheist phase, and now settled on deist.

A God that creates and then does not ever interact with His creation, even to provide the Act necessary to redeem His creatures if they fall?

[–] 1 pt

Are you sure he doesn't interact?

[–] 1 pt

That is my understanding of the Deist position: a clock maker who "sets the gears turning" and then steps aside. I am not a Deist. I affirm unabashedly that God absolutely does interact with His creation. I am a theist, not a Deist.

[–] 0 pt

because I have no faith you must prove to me these things that require faith!!!

The most relevant possible question.

The Great Clockmaker.

Hmm. So you sympathize with Newtonian mechanism as a reducible system for explaining basically everything?
