tbh, I've experienced racism a couple of time, and that's not something that keeps me awake at night, not even something that triggers hate
If a nog throws a racial slur at me, I won't get into a fist fight over it, actually I would have to force myself a bit into it. If I go for the casus belli... The racial slur is more an excuse for it than anything else, it's more the open lack of respect that triggers me, than the racial stuff itself
So when I hear stories about chimpouts over racial slurs and all the dramas the press makes out of it... I don't really see exactly why they get that mad. Maybe it's just an excuse but I don't think that's the case, because it often turns way too hysterical to be just that. Instead, maybe they do really have a deep inferiority complex that I don't have. I think it's more that than anything else but what do I know.
People obsessed with racism are the ones with race issues I think. Normal people are more like "pff, well, that kind of bs or another..."
But I digress.
kanye is testing/experiencing I think. Testing new leads and flaws/breaches leading to some sort of new world/vision of the world he discovered recently
I'm not a fan of his music, it does nothing on me, but the guy isn't an idiot. Let's say he likes to experiment new stuffs. As far as I can tell, he has what it takes to be a truth seeker. He doesn't give much of a fuck about ideologies and party lines obviously, nor about what people think about what he's doing. Of course he cares to some extent, like everybody else, but that's not what drives him. He likes to be admired yes but it doesn't stop there. He wants to be remembered as a genius, a guy ahead of his time, a leader and a free thinker.
Now I'm not saying he's a model to me or even the best at that game, but that's obviously what matters to him. Being just "me too" isn't enough to satisfy him, he can't feel satisfied by just being another famous rapper, he needs more, obviously.
I say more power to him, grab the popcorn, and let's see how far he can go like that.

You might be onto something there. As a white it is hard to take any type of racist slur seriously. It's like whatever man.
Good analisis on Kanye, and that video is great.
