A hunter contacted me earlier in the week about buying 100 adult birds to release on his property. He wants them in April. I said stop by with $300 and I'll have you a box of birds come April. He showed up, paid, and said he'll want to do it again for the same price in October.

I have a feeling he's going to make a lot more money off this than I will, but that's ok. This first sale will cover the feed costs for me to absolutely fill a freezer this year.

I don't do this for the money. I give away more eggs than I sell. However, it doesn't take much to cover my costs to always have a ton of tasty meat on hand.

The biggest thing is less effort for me. Other than egg collection, food and water last a week without a refill (in the summer).
