Attention THE REASON VOAT IS DOWN

Putt, the Owner of Voat, put this up on the front page:

Voat is being attacked and our poor little goats are exhausted. You can take down a site with your botnet and unlimited money, but you won't win in your fight against truth. You know you've already lost. For everyone that isn't familiar with Voat, Voat is a Free Speech website, and a lot of powerful people don't like some of the things the Goats discuss.

This seems to have made someone mad:

Earlier, he said that above link was causing a DDoS attack.

Not sure if anyone knows this, but soapbox whatever the name banned a lot of people just before it went down

I was told there were like over 200 people and that they had done something, forgot what it was

They then came back two days later to unbanned the banned

I was one of them, I dont post there and have never even looked over there till I got banned

There was also a list that came out just before I got banned, a comments list, I happened to be the biggest one in GA,

I put a lot of links in that go with post or remind folks of old links

Not really sure if this a reason, but the timing sure grabbed my attention

I was also banned but I haven’t been able to find if I was unbanned. I couldn’t care less. Shitposting like that isn’t my thing.

I found out I was unbanned same as I was banned, in personal messages
