Per TheDrive.com article, in a Presidential Motorcade, there's a dedicated SUV carrying the President's U.S. Secret Service security detail (these guys are dressed in more formal attire wearing suits+ties). The USSS vehicle is identifiable as having red+blue police lights mounted on light bars around the vehicle, described in this excerpt as follows:

"Presidential Security Detail SUV: Code Named "Halfback" - Halfback is the following car for Stagecoach and Spare(s), and it carries the President's Secret Service protective detail. Usually this vehicle is a specially outfitted Chevrolet Suburban with police lights mounted on a light bar, in the interior windows, and in the grill.

I tried to validate this claim b/c I'd also heard the same thing from a truther that I follow in a 6/14 interview, but wasn't able to find any clear-cut evidence of video/photos to back it up with identifiable military 'branding' on anybody surrounding/protecting DJT.

• There was at least one helicopter above Trump's 6/13/23 motorcade in Bedminster, NJ visible in a video posted by Dan Scavino on 6/13/23. Scavino's video showed 1 helo overhead (from the videographer's car's vantage point), but there were 5 helos above Trump's motorcade per the ADS-B Exchange flight tracker (saw a screenshot on GAW but can't find the darn post again - sorry). These could possibly be military helos or they could just be police choppers and/or news outlet helos (it's too fuzzy/far away/dark to ID helo types/markings in the video alone). Certainly is an extremely large motorcade and a massive number of protection details. Especially for a former President. A couple notes, the Black SUV's look as if they may be armored vehicles. Not all of them, but a couple of them look like the glass is particularly thick.

The heavy tactical guys are wearing plate carriers, probably level IV plates (ESAPI plates is now standard and can stop multiple rounds of 30-06 armor piercing rounds). One thing that I also noted is one of those guys, you can see the barrel pointed down and to the right in low ready condition has a shrouded suppressor. His plate carrier has Police on it on the identifier tape on the rear of his carrier.

The suited guys look like USSS, but they could also be private protective detail, ala Blackwater types (even though Blackwater is no longer a valid name, everyone still recognizes that company name to mean private security). The majority of these private security companies are former active special forces from all the branches of the military. They undergo extensive protection training to prepare them for protection services.

A lot of the training is done by former USSS agents that retrain the former spec ops guys to play defense. It is quite different from being on the offense side, but since they have both, they are extremely capable defenders and can take the fight back to any attackers in a very decisive and lethal way. All this being said, this is an unprecedented amount of security for a former President.

The private security folks are not cheap, they are special in the aspect that they can provide security, even in a hot war zone. Even the USSS is not up to that task.

Back in 2004 and 2008, these guys were getting paid between $250k-350k per year depending on their skill set, I have no idea how much they cost now, but I would bet it is pretty high (this was in Iraq). I don't know how much they cost in a non-combat environment, but my guess is that it isn't much cheaper. The amount was what they were getting paid, I am sure with the company over head and gear/expenses, it is quite a bit more for the contract.

If I was a billionaire, is there anything about a presidential motorcade I couldn't emulate/replicate? He had his own personally funded security team during his presidency , so one would think he could personally own the vehicles and employ active military etc to run the motorcade.
