"Jung" is closer to the correct pronunciation of 정 than "Jong". It's basically like the first part of jungle, there is no "y" sound like how some people pronounce Carl Jung. Any Romanization of 김정은 is an approximation anyway.

Agreed. Hangul is a fun and intuitive language to learn. And, being letter based, is waaay fucking easier than Mandarin or Japanese.
