Thanks for your reply! Actually, Dallas is near the very top of the wide part of Texas (not the pan-handle) and close to the Oklahoma border, whereas Houston is at the very bottom of Texas near the Gulf coast, so those cities are pretty much on the polar opposite ends of the state.
