It is not the churches responsibility to deal with the insane. This poor pastor trying to help someone who should of been institutionalize will now need help. They closed mental facilities for drugs and neighborhood group homes. Maybe about time to institutionalize the ones that can't be help. I believe this one qualified for that.

I agree with your thinking.
I also read somewhere that the shooter had been seeing a shrink. Wonder if those interactions somehow played into this?
