He bragged about it after the election, it was a strike against him back then, I remember

Yes, he did, although I think it was in the context of vetting/tracking immigrants - but we know how that expands to the general population over time. Plus, once someone becomes a legal citizen of the US they should have the same Constitutional protections as other citizens (in theory) have, .i.e. they should not be subjected to continuous tracking.

Po’d did you know that trump vowed to pass Biometric ID?

[–] 0 pt

Yes - and, although that project was directed at immigrants and overseas travelers, we know how those projects have a history of extending to to everyone eventually.

Technically, fingerprints are biometric ID - which have been a part RealID for a long time and required for government jobs/contracts. However, I think Trump was even discussing DNA - which I'm firmly against, just as I'm against a biometric ID program like India's Aadhaar.

Easy win for him, wonder what's up.

IDK. He DOES have a lot of support, and it's very possible that FL put checks in place to mitigate the fraud potential of ERIC. WV has ERIC, and Trump carried the state by nearly 70%.

Meanwhile just ignore that Trump took over 1.1 million from Disney and Trump wants to be President. I see through this charade. Trump wants to be President so all the daggers are hurled at DeSantis. Trump donated to Kamala Harris for Senate. This sub is a Trump fan club, right?

Trump donates to tons of politicians on both sides when he was a business-man. That is how a corrupt system works.

Disney likely gave to both sides. This is very common. Trump will take your money even if he won’t do what they want.

I posted this article bc it was about ERIC - not as a judgment either way on DeSantis - bc, as you know, I'm on the fence with him. It's very possible that FL DID mitigate ERIC's inherent avenues for fraud - It IS possible to do that by comparing the data with other records and by utilizing the tools - like the Social Security Death Index to which ERIC's connected - to clean up the rolls. The problem is that too many states are misusing ERIC and, for example, intentionally keeping deceased voters on the rolls and using those names to cast invalid ballots.
