So what are you suggesting about chicken immunity? Want to be sure I understand.

well, I'm postulating that the chickens can become immune to the Sars and pass it through their eggs, and thus the attack on chickens and eggs in general . Remember all old style( effective) vaccines back in the day had the antigen grown in chicken eggs. Many folk including myself have a bit of an allergic reaction to eggs, although I still eat them. An old friend used to feed his some unusual stuff telling me it was to make them a more complete food source, super eggs. I myself put iodine in their water when I have a flock of laying hens , 1 ML per gallon. Just spit balling,

Right - forgot about that. You and @verboten are in the same page with the egg stuff.

What does the iodine do? That amount is literally a "drop in the bucket," isn't it?

They use eggs to multiply viruses that can be used in vaccines. Yolk antibodies are useless in vaccines: they bind to pathogens and can neutralize them, but their other end is not recognized by the human immune system as human antibodies - they get ignored and the immune system doesn't learn to fight against a pathogen.

Yolk antibodies are in the same category as the monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that were used in treating covid: they do their work and then they vanish, there is no immune response involved.

thanks! I do know chickens have a pretty simple digestion and their diet has a huge effect on the taste of the eggs, suggesting they pass through whatever their diet is pretty easily, it's not a huge jump to suggest they also pass any beneficial aspects to what they think will become their offspring, just nature. healthy chickens, healthy eggs, healthy chicken farmer!
