No idea what the mission was. Maybe just to see what they could get away with or something nefarious. Whatever it was it's not in our best interest to allow it.

Mostly a dry run to test our response. The plan is to float an EMP device over the central US. Then use the internal chaos as a time to attack Taiwan. But we and our allies have a massive naval flotilla off their coast holding the second half up. If the DS stages a withdrawal of those ships it will be a green light. But I think the team has a plan for all this. A side benefit of the balloon crossing over the whole US was that it made the administration look very bad. Feeds the narrative.

I do not, for one minute believe that a government who fuckin lies through their teeth EVERY DAY to us is telling the truth NOW. The Chinks are the new Russian bogeyman whom everything can be blamed on. I'm willing to bet this thing is a U.S. Gubmint balloon/creation designed to test our "outrage" and stomach for another war, FF military exercise etc. The friggin Chinese have an open door to this Country. So we let it go over the entire us airspace and as it is leaving, we shoot it down. Ok, I'm sure it didn't relay any info while it was in the air. 5 bucks says it logged into Comcast or one of the other us internet providers to transmit whatever data it gathered.
