While there is not explicitly a muslim dept within the Detroit police, I happen to know several DPD members. The "mercy killings" are outrageous and numerous and DPD has been instructed to not only stand down but a lot of these cases are never prosecuted. While there is no station within a station there is definitely a different policy and set of rules WITHIN a station/department. Literally no one talks about it. If I didn't know DPD I never would have known. I guarantee these types of things are more prevalent than we know. It creates different rules for the same people which is completely against policy in this country.
