I miss the days when people writing articles actually knew how to write.

...and the days when people were sufficiently grammatically astute to notice it...bc I didn't - lol

Good catch, MrFaded. I tend to speed read for context which is not always the best. The thing I notice most frequently is out-of-place modifiers - quite common, and it drives me crazy.

In that case misplaced modifiers will really mess with you. Most often I find that it's fucked up punctuation that changes things up and makes it confusing.

I have been accused of being pedantic more than a few times. Everyone makes mistakes, but if you're writing professionally, you should have an editor read your shit. At a minimum you should read and reread what you wrote before it goes public.

Agree - especially spelling errors.
