That's good to hear! I lurk elsewhere 100%. I have tried to participate here when I have time and relevant information or thoughts.

I tell people not to underestimate their reach because those of us who lurk are still part of the process. We may not post but we will talk to people, and maybe connect dogs from other sources. It's a balance between free speech, anonymity, and sometimes just using the tech or format, and even learning how culture and context work in some forums... At least for me.

No need, there are plenty here that will say dumb shit for me and far more that will say dumb shit for themselves.

I'm like this in real life too. For years about half of the people in my small little town thought I was retarded because they had never heard me speak. The other half that had think I'm a complete asshole because I don't validate their opinions.

Then they find out who my wife is. She is an asshole. The rare alpha female that not only thinks she is right most of the time but, actually is, and can back it up.

Almost nobody likes us, a few hate us but, nobody fucks with us (anymore) and that's how we like it.

I liked voat, but am amazed that there was another place so similar to come to! I don't float around the internet to find boards like this. I used to love the old Yahoo chat rooms. I wish I had saved more offline from voat. I thought there was a lot of good info floating around at that time. There was a lot of discovery and correlation, and now we are seeing slow moving aftermath.
