There is a book called "The Moth in the Iron Lung." The author, who did a lot of research on the subject, concludes that Polio, rather than a virus, is the result of a lead arsenic pesticide that farmers started to use in 1892. I didn't read the book, but I may eventually. I saw a thread on it a while back, which was pretty compelling. If that is true, the polio symptoms may be from heavy metals in the vaccines.
