Recently, left-leaning media appear to be having a difficult time.

Chris Licht was appointed CNN president in early May. Licht has signaled that he will steer CNN away from the left-leaning opinion shows that have dominated in recent years.

CNN+ was taken off the air one month before to Licht’s arrival because it failed to attract viewers. Because, in all seriousness, who wants more CNN?

Chris Wallace, a former Fox News presenter and anti-Trump supporter, lost his job when he quit the network to avoid Tucker Carlson, a wildly popular populist.

Chris Cuomo was dismissed after an inquiry revealed that he had supported his brother Andrew during a sexual misconduct controversy.

The problems have now migrated to another lefty publication.

Chuck Todd’s MSNBC program “Meet the Press Daily” will transition to streaming-only and be renamed “Meet the Press Now.” MSNBC and NBC executives made the decision.

The firm apparently feels it can succeed where CNN failed.

Chris Jansing, a veteran anchor, now hosts “MSNBC Reports” at 1 p.m. on MSNBC, where Todd’s show previously aired.

Todd concluded his last show with:

“I want to take a moment to remind people of our mission here: to share with you what you need to know about what’s happening in Washington and in American politics, and most importantly, explaining why it happened, and why it matters to you. I’ve always been a big believer in finding new ways to reach new audiences. So we know where you are. And putting Meet the Press on NBC News NOW, five days a week, is at the forefront of where we want to be in streaming news. It was a no-brainer. We know you are here because you’re simply looking for smart, honest news and analysis. That’s all. Which has been, and always will be the driving force behind Meet the Press.”

The president of NBC News, Noah Oppenheim, issued the following statement: “NBC News is the leader in streaming news. Since our launch, we’ve been committed to delivering the best of NBC News’ journalism, free, to streaming audiences everywhere.” “Chuck was one of the first broadcast anchors to see the massive potential of streaming and bringing Meet the Press’s daily franchise to NBC News NOW reinforces the platform’s status as the destination for news on streaming,” Oppenheim continued.

The senior vice president of editorial for NBC News, Janelle Rodriguez, sent a memo to those working at the outlet about the change and Todd’s time with the company:

“His enthusiasm about growing ‘Meet the Press’ beyond the Sunday show and evolving the legacy program for the streaming audience is a prime example of our mission at News NOW: to bring viewers the best of what NBC News has to offer.”

Todd was called out today by Mollie Hemingway for an insane rant about the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

in a side note, CNN was not playing in the Atlanta airport, no where to be seen, no posters, advertisements,nothing.

Little known fact: They paid to have CNN in airports 24/7. In fact, it was a special feed that was curated just for travelers. That network went out of business in 2021.

Due to the network's prominence in public waiting areas, the network had stricter content standards than the regular CNN; for instance, stories involving commercial aviation incidents and crashes did not appear on the network, and were overlaid with automated weather conditions. Stories that involved sexual content and graphic violence were similarly overlaid. The network's digital on-screen graphics were designed larger than industry standards, to allow readability of fonts at a distance.
