Yes, changing the salt for a salted hash can change the hash, and thus the tripcode.

However, hashes are specifically used to avoid collisions (two separate cleartexts resulting in the same hash). A plaintext IP plus a salt would be the cleartext in this case. All a salt does is add extra data to the item being hashed, to make known plaintext attacks (e.g., dictionary attacks and brute-forcing) more difficult/less effective.

Not only are the odds of Q's original IP and salt hashing to the same thing as a different IP, regardless of salt, vanishingly small, hashing algorithms are specifically designed to avoid such things mathematically.

Yes, there are certain hash algorithms (e.g., MD5) that have known collision spaces. Which is why they aren't used anymore. SHA256 or SHA512 have no known collision issues, and are the most widely used these days.

I spent a good deal of time looking at these posts and you know that I'm not one to agree with everything but after looking at the facts around these posts for the last few days I will say I am leaning towards these being legit.

Scavino was MIA for about a month. Around May 31 he stopped posting on twitter. I've had my eye on Scavino this whole time. From the very start I thought Scavino might be making the Q posts. There aren't many people closer to DJT than Scavino. He pops back up on twitter around the same time the Q posts appear. Nothing earth shattering but interesting timing. Worth noting.

The longer we wait the more time stamps will match up with something. So to really show that Q is real I think we should wait 100 two-weeks and then look at news and events, tie them to deltas and time stamps and make a new Q Map I am 100% sure we will find interesting proofs. Or we let my grand daughter randomly scribble on 10-20 pages and find real proofs like "qreal, qback, wEhaVeItaLL, and a few more.

I followed Q from the very beginning. The last election pretty much forced me into believing it was all bullshit all along.

When I say “bullshit”, it’s actually more nuanced than that…

-Q very well may have been an insider -Q may very well have been a psyop to either help Trump or hurt truthers (think puff them up to let them down, destroy morale) -The idea that “everything is cinched up and we got this”, ie “the plan”, was obviously bullshit.

That’s just my opinion. I won’t, however, get into the division game of calling other people “qtards” and the like. I still have hope that it’s a real thing, I just don’t believe it is, personally, at this juncture.

At the end of the day, I think we all want the same result overall. So, those who use divisive rhetoric about this shit can eat shit.

The idea that the timestamp matched up with a delta doesn’t really wash either, because one has control over what time they post something. So if they wanted to make the timestamp match they can make the timestamps match whether they are Q team or not.
