The strategy of playing both sides of the fence would have been so simple for Trump. Claiming credit for speeding along the vaccines while simultaneously saying he would have paid more attention to the side effects (many such cases) and would not have mandated them. It's such a simple win-win strategy that shows he's pretty inept (and so are his advisors) by not doing it.

I honestly don't know what to make of it, but in any case it's not good

Maybe he's been kept in the dark about the issues related to the vax

Maybe he's too proud to admit he got scammed

Besides, if elected again, how is he going to deal with putin? I don't think it's the right moment to "play tough" with putin, more like time to make concessions and stop the escalations entirely

Think about it: If Trump came out at some point and said the vaccines are poison, what do you think would happen? By that time he knew that his own supporters weren't taking the shots, and he also knew that his non-supporters didn't listen to him anyway.

He did what he did in good faith when he sped up the approval process. He took their word for it that the shots were safe and effective. Now it's on them, the FDA and pharma execs. Trump is innocent in this.

When you tell one lie, to support a cause, you end up telling a thousand to maintain the first.

I said a year ago a whole bunch of people are going to need plausible deniability to maintain the show.

If smart guy Trump was talking about futurist treatments like UV light treatment, and currently still backs a flawed gene therapy, you have to question why.

I believe Trump will do whatever it takes, to fool the biggest group of people, to maintain his base. The question isn’t really will the left attack him, of course they will.

The question I want answered is why is Trump protecting Big Pharm? Every politician, in the know, made huge bank in the covid pump and dump. You’d think Trump would point that out.
