Long story short, she proceeds to tell me that a girl she has known for years has two family members who caught bullets in the shooting. One is now a dead child, the other a teacher in a coma.
Or she's just been told a fake story and they've been paid a lot to go into a witness protection program. Not saying this is what happened, but you can't rule it out. Personally I treat these shootings as factual until strong evidence to the contrary comes out.
