Patriot, I wonder what Chinastein has on her ?
Sen Murky tried hard to please Chinastein, but Murky and the RINOs failed to ram their agenda down USA's throat and now Chinastein can't save Murky. Murky is a useless idiot.
Chinastein sent me a canned reply about one of Murky's and Chinastein's failures on changing the fillibuster:
"Thank you for writing to me regarding voting rights and the Senate filibuster.
On January 19, 2022, the U.S. Senate considered comprehensive voting rights legislation titled “Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act” (H.R. 5746). This legislation would have established nationwide federal election standards to protect access to voting and preserve the integrity of elections. It also would have restored the ability of the U.S. Department of Justice to prevent states from implementing discriminatory voting laws. Ultimately, while I was proud to support this bill, the Senate voted along party lines, and the bill failed to reach the required 60 votes to end a filibuster against it.
After failing to garner enough votes to end the filibuster, the Senate considered a change to its rules that would have required Senators opposing the voting rights bill to engage in a “talking filibuster” in order to block this important legislation. Under this procedure, Senators would have been able to speak for as long as they wanted on the bill, with a vote occurring when all Senators had finished speaking. I voted yes on this rules change. Unfortunately, there were not enough Senators in support of this rule change to allow for extended debate and a yes-or-no vote on voting rights.
.... I have received a tremendous number of calls and letters on this issue from across California and I very much kept your thoughts in mind as I cast my votes. Please know that I will continue fighting in Congress to protect the right to vote and pass meaningful reforms. I always appreciate hearing from you and encourage you to call my Washington, D.C., office at (202) 224-3841 or visit my website at feinstein.senate.gov should you have any other questions or comments. You can also follow me online at YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter."
