Ran a test at work to show folks that they are not safe.

All of us are on the iPhone "brand" for our company issued phones and apps. For security purposes.

I had them all put their phones in airplane mode. Then I opened up a brand new AirPods Pro case next to their phones. Magically, it prompted all the iPhones around the AirPods Pro case if they wanted to connect.

If the phones were in Airplane Mode, then how did their bluetooth transceivers detect that a new AirPods Pro case was opened next to their phone?

It's placebo bullshit.

Somebody finally proved what we knew all along. I keep tape on the cameras on all my devices. I never use apps like zoom because of the spyware. If I have to do a zoom meeting I use my browser.

The only way to avoid this is to either use another custom ROM or disable the drivers all together.
