Jesus dying on the cross not only defeated Satan, it also brought in the NEW COVENANT . yes many Denominations teach the OLD COVENANT . do not be deceived listen not with your mind or heart but with your spirit. Take some time and ASK God for understanding. you will have to wait a bit but He gives freely and liberally to those seeking understanding of His word.
You're saying satan is defeated. There is evil all around, even in this forum you participate in. Surely you have connected some dots to reality and events you know are transpiring.
Perhaps shattering your religious celebration of a false victory is like the snake in the garden watching you swim in a pond. I sit here watching you search for an understanding of reality and sigh softly as you search at the bottom - never looking up again at the world above.

Now let's take a step back out of parabolic metaphors. When you regurgitate these covenant teachings to others, perhaps next when you break bread and pray with those close to you, even this coming Sunday. Can you truly instill to them an empty promise as the world is collapsing around them? What are you leading for?
