Maybe bc the FIFA Federation has a detailed reporting system for all registered player World wide regardless of age group, whereas many other sporting organisations don't have the same reporting system in place for their code on a national or international level (just recording injuries/ deaths in the team or local area and not passed up into the organisation as a whole). Same as how US Law enforcement are not mandated to keep a National register of individuals killed by LEO's but the final number has to be parsed from several sources (FBI statistics, Individual Police dept records, news agency reporting and non profit accountability Groups that attempt to track the overall numbers et al).
