Gab and the like do too much to identify as alt platforms and end up with too much strictly political content. To win the culture war we need s platform that is mainstream that also doesn't censor, not a platform that is best known for politics. Most people are apathetic and will take pop culture talk and then accept their politics. If you can't attract norms it's just another echo box.

Great point. I agree, but I'm not sure that is a platform issue as much as a creativity and ecosystem issue.
