Perhaps the US needs anti lying laws for the media like Russia just implemented.
This is an underrated comment, but not really the full issue.
The issue is the press is used as a weapon via defamation and slander.
They get away with it because defamation and slander aren't crimes, under current law they go to civil court.
But as you can see, call someone a racist/terrorist/nazi on the local news, and effectively it becomes legal for a whole mob of psychotic social rejects to come out of the woodwork and terrorize someone, threaten them with murder/rape, threaten their families, friends, workplaces, schools, vandalize or burn down their property, etc.
Effectively the media gets free reign to destroy peoples lives, families, careers, and property, and theres no consequences for it. Unless you take them to court, and then its a slap on the wrist, and maybe a meaningless 3 second retraction at 1 am on the news, or in fine print in the back of a newspaper, or posted in some link buried inaccessibly on a news site.
The media, the judicial system allowing it, and the banks and pharmaceutical advertising bankrolling them, are the core problem destroying america and western nations.
They're a criminal syndicate founded on drug dealing, terrorism, and regulatory capture. Thats it. Thats the entirety of what they are.
The federal intelligence agencies and unions are their jackboots. And congress and the senate are their mouthpiece.
You want to break, them, first break the power to control the narrative.
Do that by criminalizing slander and defamation. Criminal penalities are what is needed.
Hell half of what makes it almost impossible to win the civil court version of slander/defamation cases, is you have to prove intent.
You have to prove they intentionally told a lie about you.
Instead, a good start, is removing the intent requirement.
Intent is almost impossible to prove: But harm is not.
Do that and the media is f.u.c.k fucked.
Judges don't play ball then its still a win because then we know they really are the heart of the rot in america and the west.
Spot on! You get it. 1000 thumbs up.
