It would be beneficial, for the sake of the world, to summarize what is happening

  • USA attempts to encircle russia with missiles
  • Russia complain but poland goes ahead, ukraina was not cooperating -> maidan coup with zelensky in power
  • Zelensky ignore minsk agreement, bomb people (europe ignore this) and declare that he wants nukes
  • russia cannot bear it anymore and do a military operation
  • Europe + USA goes full blast on sanctions everything
  • Seems fair that russia retaliate

I am going to throw this is the mix because I think this has something to do with it. All of these reports mentions sanctions, etc but no one has brought up BRICS in these articles. Russia doesn't need the USA when it can get everything it needs from a BRICS ally and they can. Also, there are countries lined up to become BRICS member nations. https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/these-countries-face-unprecedented-hunger-crises-due-ukraine-war I started thinking about this reading this article yesterday. Some of the top countries "to be affected" already want to join BRICS. I am wondering what this play is more and more. No doubt the DS wants to starve people because I am sure that is fun stuff for them but I am also wondering what is behind this coverage. This is also no doubt to drive the narrative of "inflation" so they have an excuse to charge people 100.00 for a loaf of bread but there is more to this for sure. Just some thoughts.

It's not the first time that Russia has limited exports. It's not a full stop in exports, but a reduction. It's about protecting the domestic customers: Foreigners paying moon prices must not lead to inflation inside Russia.

We could start by limiting our own food exports to keep the domestic prices under control.

But that would mean the US government would be looking out for our national interests so that's not going to happen.

US farmers are heavily dependant on nitrogen fertilizer for food crops and for growing cattle feed crops. The fertilizer shortage can cause massive food shortages. Massive inflation combined with food shortages can lead to societal breakdown. Just like previous color revolutions, bands of roaming thugs. When the Biden administration bans Russian oil without increasing US oil production it will be a rude awakening for many. How the heck will they spin the climate change hoax then!

Indeed, the price of wheat is already above $20.00 per cwt. and the average yield in the US 1.5 short tons per acre. When the Russian sanctions kick in the price could easily double. We're looking at $10.00 for a loaf of bread.

There isn't even a tiny fraction of the grassland needed for that. Cattle eat corn and soybeans, which require fertilizer (esp corn) to grow. You can't generate cow shit unless you can feed the cows first.

It won't matter to North America, but the rest of the world relies on fertiliser. So it could be good. Depends on who loses out.

There will be famines. Russia and Belarus produce the majority of the fertilizer in the world. Ukraine and Russia taking wheat supply off the market as well. They're the no. 1 and 4th largest producers.

The US farmers have posting on farming forums how they won't be planting this year because fertilizer has quadrupled and they won't take the financial risk to plant and not make the money back.
