Nope, you lied to a Fed. Remember when Martha Stewart got 6 months in prison? She was being investigated for insider trading. She was interviewed by the FBI, 6 weeks later she was interviewed again. The charges of insider trading were dropped, but the FBI said she lied in her interviews, in one she said she called her broker from her office, in the other she said she called him from home. Boom, go to jail. The prosecutor was James Comey.

Amen Patriot, yes lying is protected speech they can choose to use. But that does not excuse the lie from prosecution as it is a lie, that defrauded the Government and taxpayers that had to absorb the cost of these lies. You are free to lie, bit not free to avoid the consequences for lying.
Aren't the people in government defrauding the American people by lying to them and giving themselves unconstitutional powers based on said lies?
