We need that for every person in a position of public trust who knowingly deceives the public, esp politicians and the MSM.

That is such a slippery slope though.

Over the years we’ve heard comments from Dems along these lines, like when they discuss how the constitution “limits their abilities”. That kind of power can’t be good for a free society…same with levying fines, licensing journalists etc. It will eventually go unchecked and taken advantage of by power hungry politicians.

This is the kind of scenario Franklin meant when he said “… We Have Given You A Republic. It Remains To Be Seen If You Will Be Able To Retain It…”. It is simply the limits of freedom, knowing that a just society is THE crucial element.

And nobody knows this better than those in power and those they employee. Seems to me one of their wet dreams is to limit free speech…maybe just enough and over and over again…by getting “the majority” to start demanding action on the scourge that is the “crazy right”. All made popular through pop culture, education and msm.

They must have the loudest speakers and tallest soap box to have a chance. We’ve been stuck because you can’t get to the politicians if the majority of citizens get their news from the blatant brotherhood between msm and Dems. I mean it really will take a great awakening. It somehow must become the discussion.

The people need a better more powerful voice. I don’t know much about the subject but didn’t we use to send Senators to DC via State Legislatures? Seems like that was taken out with a very long vision of centralizing control in mind. However we do it, we need a more effective way of holding DC responsible.

…not trying to lecture. I would love to turn it on and off and roast the scum as needed. Just took the segue to talk about something I was thinking of recently.

Great comment.

You're right - this is a slippery slope when applied in the broadest sense. I am specifically referring to people in positions of public trust - for example, people like Fauci, who know the truth and blatantly lie to the public.

The people need a better more powerful voice.

Yes - and we are the only ones who can create that - it will NOT be handed to us.

I have no problem with restricting the speech of people in the military, and I have no problem with restricting journalists during war time.

The real problem is what John Adams pointed out long ago, that our constitution is designed for a God fearing people, and it won't work otherwise. In other words, laws don't matter when the ones enforcing them are wicked.
