On one hand, of course it's an absolutely terrible way to handle this situation.
On the other hand, these kids today are BAD. I mean BAD. Whup their fuckin asses when they fuck up, don't strip 'em naked... Crack their heads. Make it painful to act like a little shithead and carry around contraband these teenagers aren't supposed to have. When you get an especially tough one, kick his ass like a man then lock his ass up. Don't play games with these little shits, mean business with punishments. Punishments are supposed to be punishing.
