Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell heaped praise on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson following a meeting with the Supreme Court nominee Wednesday.

The Kentucky Republican said there was "no question" that she was a very qualified and intelligent pick for the Supreme Court. Noting his philosophical differences with her, McConnell sought to contrast GOP graciousness toward Jackson with Democratic hostility toward Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Not only do we know, the last time I went to vote, literally everyone who is not a democrat was discussing what to do about him while we waited in line outside.

A guy ran against him named LaPierre. Don't quote me on that spelling. He's an ex cop, lived in this area a long time, has sound policy and ran on a solid platform. He didn't come close to Graham's 317,512 but he pulled 79,932 votes in the primary and the three candidates that ran against Graham pulled a combined 155,000 votes, half of what Graham got. It definitely sent a message. No one likes Graham. That fact is on display, constantly highlighted, by the fact that he has challengers. Joe Wilson (the man who famously yelled "You lie" at Obama when he was lying about health care) usually runs unopposed. Joe Wilson has solid support here. As does Tim Scott. Both are extremely well liked, stay in touch with their communities, are outspoken and generally aligned with their voters. There have been rumblings here and there that Scott won't seek reelection.
