For those who aren't familiar with the area, Ecorse, MI is a suburb that is just south (and slightly east) of Detroit. It lies just under another (and nearly identical) suburb called River Rouge. Ecorse and River Rouge are pretty much just extensions of Southwest Detroit, with slightly less blight. Slightly less. You'd be hard pressed to decide if you're actually in Detroit or not if you're not from the area. Let's just say Ecorse isn't the greatest of neighborhoods to find yourself in.
