This is one of the reasons I quit working in IT health care. I was literally saying to my coworkers that we were running a scam. They couldn't disagree.
We would hear this BS but see the other side at the same time. Between this and the clot shot mandate I was done

I very much admire your decision - many would choose security over their value system - The fact that you didn't says a lot about who you are.
Yes - our health data is being shared everywhere, and WE never gave anyone the right to do that. It's disgusting.
