We're not capable of fighting a large-scale land war. We don't have the troops, the supply support, the lift... We rely on the US for almost everything.
You may see SF deployed, but we're not capable of fighting a traditional war anymore.
Keeping in mind total CF head count is about 70k, and that is reservists plus active duty. So, you're looking at about a force of about 5-7k trigger pullers, absolute max, and that is full deployment. (Not even enough to hold a medium-sized city.)
About 40k Canadian soldiers served over the 10-plus years in Afghanistan, and that's REMF and support plus forward deployed troops. We don't really do European style wars anymore.

It's going to be a hard sell at home though. Can't imagine there will be much support for a show like that.
