We're not capable of fighting a large-scale land war. We don't have the troops, the supply support, the lift... We rely on the US for almost everything.

You may see SF deployed, but we're not capable of fighting a traditional war anymore.

Keeping in mind total CF head count is about 70k, and that is reservists plus active duty. So, you're looking at about a force of about 5-7k trigger pullers, absolute max, and that is full deployment. (Not even enough to hold a medium-sized city.)

About 40k Canadian soldiers served over the 10-plus years in Afghanistan, and that's REMF and support plus forward deployed troops. We don't really do European style wars anymore.

No, I don't think so - I think it was massive concern related to the financial sector.

Trudeau seizing bank accounts has caused an exodus of money out of the country.

Canada has no notable forces with which to oppose the Russians.

Trudeau is left with token symbolism as his only option.

Trudeau is probably secretly grateful Vlad took the news focus off of Canada.

YES. Canada is #3 area for Ukrainian diaspora in the world. (Russia and Kazahkstan are #1 and #2). Trudeau needs the Ukrainians to support his (globalists) foreign policy and any call to send troops to fight for Ukraine.

They all got the heads up from globalists to stop the anti-trucker crap and get ready for military industrial complex' turn to drain taxpayers' funds.
