I lived in China for 5 years. They are highly intelligent, but are abismal at problem solving and creativity. Their totalitarian system most probably discourages people like this as free thinkers are are a threat to the system. People like Elon Musk, Steve Jobs etc. are worth a million factory worked. Pretty hard to nurture and develop people like this when they are considered an enemy of the state.

If we imported nothing but Chinese to the US you’d get an uptick in efficiency and redundancy, but after some point you’d notice a drastic decrease in innovation.
