Outstanding. Now for the Ottawa Police. If 50% of your force resigned then guess who will be used as witnesses against you in a trial for Crimes against Humanity ? Time to stand down and obey the real laws.

One of the comments from the article.

"Don’t use the fuel. If they mixed gasoline in the diesel in the right amount it will be hard to smell or detect. Doing so will lower the octane rating. and cause early detonation in the compression stroke which can destroy a Diesel engine by cracking and possibly shattering pistons."

Gas in diesel can also completely destroy fuel systems.

But the police also stole propane and 100 pound tanks and so on. They stole much more than just Jerry cans of diesel.

Could make for a fun lawsuit.

Get it in front of this same judge.

There is no way the cops want to render the trucks unable to start.

I agree. It would take days to remove them all.

I believe much of it is going into running the cab heating systems, which are just burning it

Is there a way to test it?

Best way I can figure is to put some in a jar and mix it with water. Ethonol is put in gasoline and will mix together with water to separate out. However, it'll likely have the same effect if there's any biodiesel.

As for any pure petroleum bases products (pure gasoline, mineral oil, whatever), you'd likely have to get a bit more scientific with burn rates and ignition temperatures.

You can test the specific gravity of the fuel

Yes. Burning it tells you. Also requires a flame or extreme pressure to ignite. Spark won't do it. Only gas has a low temp vapor pressure.

yes, because of all the anonymous donations and the expensive equipment that is the livlyhood of the owners, they are testing all the fuel. It is quite organized. The stuff that was 'returned' to them by the police was mixed with 50% water and would have caused hydrolock in any vehicles which tried to use it.

Thank you Patriot for sharing this. Thankfully word was sent to have all the fuel tested before using.
