It would also require people to be more mindful and researched, especially regarding decentralization. They also don't want more proles learning how often "Art" is used to launder money (which is a conter-intuitive approach to FUDing NFTs). They hate altcoins because it's too hard to play whack a mole to keep the wrong one from pumping like crazy before they can identify which utility is the most effective.
