One wonders what causes so many billionaires to veer left.
I think they just veer toward control - and whatever way they can "engage" the most people, they go for it. Omidyar's getting established in the right now - but the overall agenda is still the same.
I don't know why they veer left, is it inevitable? If you were rich, is the left the best way to stay rich to get the tax breaks and shift the tax to the middle class to support the poor with the socialist agenda and keep everyone 'beneath' you? They also can use money to maintain the power to control leftist politicians (more protection for any wrongdoing), and steering the government overspending on 'infrastructure' to keep the rich ahead of everyone in opportunities to get those tax dollars or investment advantages. It just happens to be the left that is doing this for the rich.
