In the end, it doesn't matter. There is always only one flu virus strain active (dominant). This is because of how our immune system works: When a virus is present, the innate arm of the immune system is hyper active and prevents any other virus from entering the system. Some say that SARS-2 is a flu virus (wich is legit because there are so many different influenza viruses, no problem to add another one), some say that SARS-2 is different (which is true on the genetic level), but the variants that can spread better will survive (and causing less severe symptoms helps in spreading because the hosts run around), so in the end SARS-2 will only cause flu-like symptoms. Omicron is the dominant seasonal flu now.

When I asked someone this recently, they replied matter-of-factly:

“Oh, it’s because everyone is wearing masks and social distancing. If we had always done this the cold and flu numbers never would have been as bad as they have been historically.”

They said this with a straight face and they absolutely believed it.

The other day I was having a conversation and said, "Well the flu kills people and did long before this covid shit" and the person I was talking to actually said... wait for it ... "The flu doesn't kill people."

I was dumbfounded. I stared a minute thinking it was a joke then said, "The Spanish Flu killed 21 million people."

They were literally so mind fucked they just dropped it. WHAT is going on with these people.

I used to be astounded by the sheer amount of what I considered to be simple, common, historical knowledge that people just don't know anymore. It's as if every day is "Baby Duck Day" for them.

The Spanish Flu wasn't covered by CNN or MSNBC, so it's like it never really happened, see?

It didn't. I posted this before: the 2019-2020 flu and cold season still had an estimated 20K-60K flu deaths.

Coronavirus IS a cold virus. This never stopped being true.

The Chinese Virus was engineered to be slightly deadlier which is why it started killing people and spreading faster. A very slight increase in lethality and R0 can cause a pandemic like this. Hence the gain of function research.

Thanks for the info. I posted this more out of my observation that anyone who gets the "flu" now automatically assumes it's covid even if they haven't been tested.
