Point is, it doesn't matter. They're not gods. They're not immortal. They're bags of meat and blood same as any human being. They have a place of employment. They have a home. They have families. If you ever talk to your local feds, be sure to document their names, faces, and as much information about them as you can discern. After all, if they can do that to all of us, and it doesn't count as "intent or plans to cause harm", the same must be true for us citizens.
