Like all things in life, it really depends on your situation. There's situations where electric cars make a LOT more sense. There's situations where ICE cars make a LOT more sense.
The biggest problem is stupid people with no logic or foresight. There's times you should wear a swimsuit, there's times you should wear a parka. If you wear a swimsuit in the arctic, you're going to freeze to death. If you wear a parka swimming in the ocean, you'll likely drown. Figure out what you need, get it, and use it properly.
electric cars are a pipe dream. if only 10 percent of drivers had an electric car, the grid would fail to charge them. we would have to at least quadruple electric handling capacity if everyone had electric cars like our political puppets are pushing for.
