Here's the New Republic article: https://newrepublic.com/article/117152/how-sunglasses-and-masks-affect-moral-behavior
Frankly, I posted this for the title. You are right - TGP is HORRIBLE about linking to sources - The worst is when they're discussing a bill and they can't even put the link to the legislation.
I doubt we'd find any studies on the characteristics of modern maskers - unless they were glowing reviews - bc, well, you know who funds all that.
Awesome.
Got one of the studies from that article:
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0956797609360754
But it is only the sunglasses one. :(
Better than nothing.
And narcissists, too, unconcerned about the social good: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sex-matters/202007/the-social-influence-wearing-mask-or-not
You might also check out the Zimbardo Prison study mentioned in the article - lots of parallels
LOL - you've got me on a roll - now, we non-maskers are sociopaths: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/02/study-refusal-to-wear-face-mask-associated-with-psychopathy-traits.html
Here's something (and of course it portrays pro-maskers as "agreeable" and the rest of us not - lol https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/why-bad-looks-good/202007/personality-and-our-willingness-wear-masks
I am very agreeable. Just not to retarded ideas.
Thanks for all these links! I read them all.
