You obviously have no idea how the semiconductor industry works and why this will change nothing. It will cost Florida taxpayers billions and make some tech company a few bucks while having minimal impact on the supply chain.
It amazes me all the semiconductor and tech companies have moon high market caps, yet they cannot invest 1% of that into building tech in the US.
Those companies could all sell $1B of their market cap to raise money, not even 1% of it, and we would have the best semiconductor production we've ever seen. But the moment they invest into the US, (((they))) would drop their stock price and the execs would all lose their money.
Sell a portion of their market cap you say?
Tell me Mr. Smoothbrain what market cap means and how one sells some of it.
Or just stop talking out of your ass.
Companies can issue more shares, normally it is called dilution.
It's a long term investment and it's a smart move
