I have not used any microsoft product for years, i have been linux since around 2016 and i wont support any of these companies where i can find an alternative, i am not American but everyone should really support efforts to disband these companies, they are not in our best interests.
100% - What's sad, is that I have "the stuff" but have been lazy about switching over. You're right. The rest of us should follow your lead.
This goes for smartphones as well.
Its not just my lead, many many are and have, as for phones, yes 100% agree. I have lineage installed on my phone, no google playstore or any other apart from f-droid. I am so much happier now with all that shit off of my phone, the battery lasts 2-3 days now with the same useage now that its not phoning home every few seconds.
You can get there if you really want, my biggest struggle was with gaming, games are limited but it is improving with time.

I don't have a smartphone (and never will,) but that is great information about Lineage. I've never heard of it.
Does lineage work only on Android?
