Soon to be destroyed by an "accident" of convenience, that or intentionally "lost". The thing they fail to realize is that when the time of true judgement comes, we will just take any absence of evidence as evidence of the worst crimes we can imagine that they had committed, and punish them for those. They are not saving themselves from us, if anything, they are making their ultimate fates even worse than they would have been if we had all the information. The old system of justice will be ignored for the sake of judging them and determining the appropriate punishment, it will be as the kangaroo courts were (a term derived for how criminals found themselves being sent to australia, and how supposedly corrupt the trials were that the them exiled because of how determined the government was to discard their lower class human rubbish), and the punishments will be biblical, visited not just on the offender, but on all of their loved ones and associates, and all of their line, for as long as we remember what their ancestors had done, and who their living descendants are, it will be something that will serve as an eternal example to ward off aspiring tyrants and their collaborators from attempting anything like what was done, a legendary fate worse than death, from which even death would be considered a mercy. This is just the judgement and punishment that they will face on Earth in their lifetimes.
