He should have just told JB to fuck himself straight out instead of talking in code. Schmeck thought he was clever, now he's going to be eating shit for the foreseeable future. Not too bright.

I personally have a low opinion about MANY politicians, but I wasn't raised to be so disrespectful, regardless of my personal feelings.

Seems to me he used his kids in order to create that moment, and they'll get the blowback too, probably for decades at least. Maybe they're just that kind of family. Ah, Christmas memories... remember the time daddy tried to "jokingly" tell a sitting president to fuck himself? What a warm moment to treasure.

Meanwhile, daddy's about to go through some stuff. For acting like a sniggering middle-schooler. Didn't even have the courage to say it right out and going to suffer the same consequences as if he did.

People really don't understand that freedom of speech works both ways. Schmeck was free to say it. Now others are free to say what they like as well, but the little baby man feels persecuted. Doubt he'll learn anything. He'll just whine about being the victim, while his kids try to make sense of what happened.

I suspect this wasn't planned out. The guy got caught up in the moment and decided to take the free shot. He had no idea of how Brandon would react or what he would say. Who hasn't done something on impulse only to regret it later. Now the media attention to it has put a target on his back for it.

I agree, not planned out. Looks like self control would've come in handy here. The expression, " Check yourself, before you wreck yourself" comes to mind. I personally have said stupid things and suffered the blowback, of course. But I'm absolutely NOT stupid enough to give in to an impulse to spit shit at one of the most powerful people in the world. Nope, not gonna happen.

As I said, middle-schooler mentality at work here, especially since he seems determined to whine and cry about receiving consequences for his ill-considered flippant remark.

I don't have any more sympathy for Schmeck than I did for Kathy Griffin, who suffered tremendous consequences following HER ill-considered shot at a sitting president. And both say "...but it was a JOKE, waah waah, boo hoo"
