We need stricter bail procedure & less judicial discretion, not more.
With that said, the conditions inside of jails, even pre-trial, is atrocious and needs to be addressed. There is no reason for anything other than the restriction on travel outside of these places. All amenities should be afforded, all utilities and resources offered. Pre-conviction, jail ought to be like living out of a hotel at least. It would hurt more i think, to have nice the nice meals and comfortable room taken away, than to have never experienced them at all. It's important to truly treat the indicted as though they are presumed innocent, not just give the notion lip service.

Could absolutely support this reform.
Half of the radicalized are radicalized by process-as-punishment. Like people going to jail for false charges, and then having the case tossed out. Damage done as it were.
