Two factors here I think.
- Many people are just numb to it.
- More and more information is leaking out that they are full of shit. They have lost credibility.
Sure you still see the idiots at the stores with the mask, or my two favorites, walking outside with a mask and in a car by themselves with one. All-in-all the fear is indeed subsiding.
